Garlic Butter Cod Bowl Recipe

I love garlic and butter on everything I eat! Okay maybe not everything I eat, but definitely at least on most seafood. If you love a good garlic and sauce, then you are going to  love this butterlicious dish. Let’s get straight to the good stuff.

Ingredients for Garlic Butter Cod in Skillet

1 1/2 – 2 lbs cod (fresh or frozen)  *If using frozen cod, completely thaw before using.

6 Tbsp unsalted butter

4-6 cloves of garlic

Seasoning-

1/4 tsp garlic powder

3/4 tsp ground pepper

3/4 tsp salt

1 tsp paprika

lemon

parsley

Serves: 2-4

Preparation

Prepare garlic cloves by smashing and chopping the cloves, then leave chopped garlic to the side.

Mix together all other ingredients for seasoning in a small bowl. Cut cod into smaller pieces, if desired. Season all sides of the cod with the seasoning.

Heat 3 Tbsp butter in a wide skillet over medium-high heat. Once butter melts, add chopped garlic, then add cod to skillet. Cook 2 minutes.

Turn heat down to medium. Turn cod over, top with remaining butter and cook another 3-4 minutes.

Dinner is ready in 20 minutes; from prep to table. This buttered cod can be served in a bowl of rice and steamed vegetable, or even over pasta.

Add fresh parsley.

Squeeze a little lemon over the dish for a citrus flair, yum! Serve immediately.
