01. Hipp Germany and Hipp Dutch Organic Cow Milk
Yes, when it comes to European Baby Formula, I love Hipp, Hipp, Hipp!
If I were to have another baby, I would go straight to Hipp.
I’ve had success with the German formula and also love the Dutch formula.
However, the Dutch costs more and I’ve found the German formula more available when I needed to order.
And didn’t want to keep flip-flopping.
Hipp Germany and Hipp Dutch!
HiPP Germany is made and packaged in Germany.
The base of the formula is organic skimmed milk from cows.
Most later stages contain starch as an additional carbohydrate source.
However, they have two starch-free options including HiPP Stage PRE and HiPP Stage 2 No Starch.
It contains prebiotic fiber derived from organic lactose, these fibers are called galactooligosaccharides (GOS) and they help contribute to the growth of healthy intestinal flora.
It’s also enriched with lactobacillus fermentum hereditum®, which are natural probiotic lactic acid cultures originally extracted from real breast milk!

***I’ve tried starch free and love the concept, but personally, my baby slept better with the normal starch in the German formula.

02. Holle Organic Cow Milk
Holle organic formula is super popular in the European Formula world.
Holle baby formula contains only raw ingredients and does not allow any chemicals or preservatives, flavoring, coloring, added salt, or refined sugar.
Holle’s organic formula range is made with essential nutrients to support your baby’s development.
Holle baby formulas are developed to be as close as possible to breast milk.
In each of their formulas, you’ll find a blend of powdered organic milk, organic vegetable oils, and important vitamins and minerals such as folic acid, vitamin K, vitamin C, and essential fatty acids.
Holle is known for producing clean, simple, gently processed organic formula for a natural and balanced diet while remaining committed to environmental sustainability.
Holle cares about protecting children’s futures which is why they offset the CO2e emissions that occur during formula production.
In fact, what sets Holle apart from other European baby formulas on the market is that all of their formulas are either climate-neutral or climate positive!
It’s also important to mention that while all of Holle’s formulas are organic, some of them even hold one of the strictest private organic certifications in Europe, the Demeter seal!
03. Lebenswert Bio Organic Cow Milk Formula
Lebenswert is a German formula brand that sources their high-quality organic milk exclusively from farms in Germany and Austria in which cows are kept according to strict Bioland organic standards.
Their formula powder is modeled after breast milk and offers a base of organic skimmed milk, organic vegetable oils, and organic whey that are fortified with vitamins, minerals, and essential fatty acids.
Lebenswert Bio organic baby formula is a hot commodity on the European organic formula market, and for good reason!
They are a brand that stands for clean, simple, healthy milk formulas made with ingredients sourced from organic farming.
In fact, their formula range in addition to being certified European organic also holds the more stringent Bioland certification.
This private certification is among some of the strictest organic certifications in Europe which you can read more about below!
04. Holle Goat Milk
Goat milk formulas are all the rage right now and for good reason!
Infant formulas based on goat milk rather than cow milk, come out ahead in terms of digestibility.
That’s because babies digest goat milk roughly two times faster than cow milk.
Happy tummies have goat milk’s unique protein structure to thank for this outstanding result.
The milk proteins in goat milk formulas form curds or milk clumps in the stomach that are smaller, softer, and looser than those formed by cow’s milk.
This means small stomachs usually have an easier time breaking these goat milk curds down.
Plus, the milk proteins in goat milk are naturally A2 and tend to be better suited to sensitive tummies whereas most cow’s milk protein is A1 and can cause inflammation in the body.
Goat’s milk formula can be a great alternative to the usual cow’s milk formula but it is not suitable for babies with an established or suspected cow’s milk protein allergy (CMPA).
05. Hipp Comfort Special Formula
If my baby was dealing with gassiness and overall discomfort during feedings, then I would definitely try this.
This is because, newborns and babies, unfortunately, suffer from a variety of digestive issues.
HiPP understands how sensitive tiny tummies can be which is why they created their Comfort Formula to aid your baby’s natural digestion.
HiPP Comfort is suitable for the dietary management of colic and constipation from birth.
Conclusion
